_about
AM+G_collective is an artist created arts education and events program. Founded in 2023, AM+G_collective began as a non-profit passion project of artist portfolio presentations. Since then, we are expanding towards a cohesive program that will offer practical and theoretical courses as well as more free events for artists and creatives in Berlin
At AM+G_collective we care about creating a community based on fomenting art discourse, sharing diversity of thought, supporting emerging artists, dissemination of culture, and creating opportunities to connect. We look to be a place of safe learning while not being afraid to challenge notions of art and culture. Creating community for artists to gather, share ideas, learn, and foment new projects is at the core of why AM+G_collective was born.
No formal education is required to participate in classes offered at AM+G_collective. Our aim to be a place where, no matter your level of skill or knowledge, there is something for everyone. From learning the fundamentals of Charcoal, Project Development Course, or Introduction to Feminist Art, to name a few examples, we believe that art should be accessible to all. Our courses will have varying degrees of difficulty but everyone is welcome to join.
Dominique Suberville
Dominique Suberville is the founder of AM+G_collective. What started as a passion project based on the idea of creating community and fomenting art discourse among international artists based in Berlin, Dominique started the non-profit project AM&G berlin in 2023 by inviting friends and strangers to present their work to a public. While there are many art based classes in the city, she sees an opportunity to offer a more in-depth and theoretical program to the community.
Dominique is a Mexican Interdisciplinary Artist working with installation, video, painting, art object, sound, and public works. She has a BFA in Fine Arts from Parsons The New School for Design and an MA in Sociology from The New School for Social Research, both in New York City. Furthermore, she attended Short Course in Art History, Criticism, and Curating at Central Saint Martins in London. She’s participated in exhibitions, fairs, and been recognized for her work at an international level.
